Saved and Sealed

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

…….any one else notice the period on the end of that sentence?

There are no amount of “good deeds” that a human being can ever do to measure up to the sacrifice that was made so that you CAN walk confidently in knowing that your sin (past, present, and future) has been accounted for and that YOU ARE FOREVER CLAIMED BY GOD!! THIS is exactly why the measure of the sacrifice that Jesus made was SO tremendous and severe…so that NO ONE can ever “claim to be good enough” (or “too bad”) through “works”….salvation can only be accomplished through FAITH alone! However, although the instructions are simple, you’ll also notice there are two parts to this salvation statement. Words alone are not enough, this also requires a true, in your heart, belief in what you’ve confessed and who Jesus is, what He went through, and what He overcame for YOU.

Think of your closest relationship…..what does that look like and how does your heart feel about that relationship. What would or wouldn’t you do to preserve that relationship?

Once you confess “Jesus is Lord” and receive the gift of eternal freedom/salvation/LIFE….you are an eternally SEALED and secure member of the Kingdom of Heaven!! But it’s God’s desire is to have a RELATIONSHIP with you, not just your verbal claim or physical acts. I encourage you…no, CHALLENGE you….to start making it a point to build a deeper relationship with your Savior by spending quality time with Him daily!! Practice “calling Him up” and inviting Him to join you in any and everything you’re doing and every where you’re going. Envision Him sitting and/or walking beside you!! What a difference His company makes….and you will NEVER be alone again.

Stay authentic my friends!
